When you meet with the Adult Education director, an individualized plan will be created that works for you, your specific needs, and life situation. You will be given an account to work in a self-paced style program with HiSET and progress from there. When ready, you can take practice tests, and eventually the exams. There are five tests in total in five subject areas; Math, Science, Social Studies, English Reading, and English Writing. When necessary, we will set you up with a tutor in the subjects that you need a little more support with. Do you want to enter the medical field, but aren’t sure where to start? CNA’s provide assistance with daily care activities to patients in residential facilities and hospitals. This course follows the Maine State Board of Nursing 130 hour CNA course curriculum. Students who successfully complete the course will sit for the Maine State Board of Nursing exam.

Certified Clinical Medical Assistant training prepares students to assist physicians by performing functions related to the clinical responsibilities of a medical office. The program includes hands-on labs and a clinical externship opportunity at a local healthcare provider. Upon successful completion of this program, students are eligible to sit for the National Healthcareer Association (NHA) Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) national examination.
