• High School Diploma Options – Earn your credential through the HiSET (formerly GED) or other adult diploma programs.
• English Language Learning – Build your English speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills for everyday life, work, family, further education, and living in a new culture.
• College & Career Readiness – Get the tools you need to succeed in college, certificate programs, or job training.
• Job Readiness & Career Skills – Learn resume writing, interview skills, workplace communication, and more.
• Technology Training & Coaching – Gain confidence with computers, smartphones, internet tools, and digital platforms.
• Self-Sufficiency (Adulting) Workshops – Life skills for real life: budgeting, housing, healthcare, household & time management, navigating systems, and more.
• Enrichment Classes – Explore art, culture, wellness, storytelling, and other fun, engaging topics, and civic engagement.

We believe everyone deserves respect; our center is a safe place to learn; you choose how you learn; kindness and understanding help us grow; talking and listening with care builds trust; we all learn better when we help each other;  clear expectations and routines make learning easier; taking breaks and setting limits is okay; everyone’s story and culture matter; mistakes help us learn—keep going!

What does this mean? 

• You’ll access the new catalog using the “COURSES” link on our landing page above.
• Eventually, registering for classes will be smoother and more flexible.   We are currently having issues with the search function. This is an issue statewide and we hope it will be resolved soon.  For now you  can go to this link
• You will still receive emails with class updates and other news from us, but they will come from our general mailbox adultedinfo@ellsworthschools.org, and an activenetwork domain.
• If you don’t wish to receive emails anymore, you can unsubscribe using a link in the Active Network emails.
• When you register for classes, you’ll need to create a new account with Active Network.  Once your account is created, you’ll have a profile where you can access your registrations.
• Our full list of classes will be available by August 18th.  There are currently over 80 classes ready for online registration.

• Our summer hours are Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday 8:30 am to 4:30 pm and by appointment on other days and times. We check our email account and voicemail daily and respond to time-sensitive messages promptly.
