Ocean Wave Paint night   Calling all beach lovers and art enthusiasts!  Join us for a painting class that's all about capturing the whimsical beauty of the sea.  With a range of blues and turquoise at your fingertips, you’ll learn how to paint this stunning beach scene complete with a bubbly shoreline.  In this class you’ll discover the secrets of layering and blending acrylic paints to create a unique piece of art that’s sure to impress.

Whether you are a complete beginner or looking to brush up on previous skills, this is the drawing class for you. Working in a variety of media, we will cover all of the basics: line, shape, value, proportion, composition, perspective and markmaking. Particular focus is placed on observational skills, learning how to translate the 3-dimensional world onto a 2-dimensional surface. A materials list will be provided after registration.

Open to novices and intermediate students alike, this class will meet you at your skill level. Projects range from observational (still life, portrait, etc.) to experimental, with particular focus on understanding paint mixing to achieve the colors you see. Either six-week session may be taken on its own. Those who want a deeper dive can sign up for both. A materials list will be provided. *No Class: 6/19.

This fun 4-week workshop is designed to take the stress out of card-making and show you a fun and creative way to incorporate traditional cardmaking techniques with easy-to-use digital tools. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced crafter, you'll learn how to blend handmade elements with digital designs to create personalized, professional-looking cards. Each week you will create several creative cards. *There is a $25 materials fee due to the instructor at the start of class.

In this 2 day class, you'll learn everything you need to know to get started with watercolor painting. We will have an in-depth conversation about paper and pads, paint, palettes, and brushes. After the materials lecture, we'll jump right in and make a color chart, practice mixing paint and our brush strokes. After a quick review on the second day, you'll have the opportunity to paint a custom illustration created by Catherine and printed on watercolor paper. You'll leave this short, but sweet class with enough experience and knowledge to know if investing in the materials to paint with watercolor is something you are interested in doing. All materials provided. *A $20 materials fee must be paid to instructor at first class.

This Leaf Book class will explore modern creativity within a historical book structure from ancient India. Come with your favorite memories of Summer in Maine to create a simple & elegant book of decorative pages laced onto a single cord and protected by covers. Materials & tools will be provided.
