This course taps into your healing resources through, calming breathing practices, meditation techniques, in-class prompt-inspired journal writing, and gentle Qigong movements. These activities will be followed by class discussions on how to integrate healing resources into your daily life. Become certified in First Aid/CPR/AED – Adult and Child. All the equipment (manikins and AEDs), videos, Student Workbooks, and consumable supplies are provided. Included in the course are adult and child CPR with AED and first aid skills, where the students demonstrate the skills learned. Upon successful completion, an American Heart Association First/Aid CPR and AED Certification card will be sent to the student, valid for two (2) years. For those taking the course to meet U.S. Coast Guard requirements, a Certificate of Completion that indicates this course meets the requirements of 46 CFR 11.201 for Merchant Mariner Credential will also be issued. Instruction will focus on the craft of writing (setting a scene, dialogue, voice, showing vs. telling, character development, etc.) along with feedback on your writing. Memoir writing is a discovery process in which you weave life experiences into a coherent pattern. Come and enjoy the exciting process of writing in an informal, friendly, atmosphere with an instructor with decades of teaching experience and the author of two memoirs.
